The heartbeat of the Bay’s Irish Community

The Irish community in the San Francisco Bay Area is one of the most vibrant, deeply rooted, and tightly knit diasporas in the world. This active network is anchored by invaluable individuals and families who work tirelessly to bring us all together.

We absolutely love our Irish community here at Fiddler’s Green. Thanks to our prime location just minutes from SFO, we’ve proudly become known as the unofficial "first stop off the plane" when you land. There is nothing we love more than welcoming newcomers into the fold; that true, authentic Irish hospitality instantly reminds you that you are always welcome here.

Our local diaspora is anchored by incredible pillars like the United Irish Cultural Center (UICC), which preserves our rich heritage through arts and social events, and the Irish Immigration Pastoral Center (IIPC), providing vital support, advocacy, and a welcoming hand to Irish immigrants.

Our cultural pride is kept on full display by the San Francisco GAA (SFGAA), bringing the thrill of Gaelic football, hurling, and camogie to local fields. That same cultural energy extends to the stage with the beautiful tradition of Irish Dancing, filling our community with rhythm, footwork, and music.

Backed by the official presence of the Consulate General of Ireland, the connection between the Bay Area and home remains stronger than ever. Whether you are newly arrived or generations deep, there is an incredible infrastructure here to make you feel right at home—and our doors are always open to greet you.
