The home of craic and community.
Welcome to Fiddlers Green, where the spirit of Ireland lives in every pint, dish, and conversation. Since opening our doors in 1991, we’ve proudly brought the Peninsula the best of Irish hospitality—delicious food, drinks, music, and of course, great craic. Founded by Rose and Oliver McElhone, Fiddlers Green was born from a deep love for Irish tradition and a desire to share that sense of home with the community here in the Bay Area.
Rose, born in San Francisco to Irish parents, spent many childhood summers in Galway and Roscommon. It was there she developed a love for the taste of fresh fish from Galway Bay—something she longed to bring back to California. Oliver hails from County Derry, where Irish sports and traditions were a way of life. His passion for Gaelic Football runs deep, and you’ll often find him, and the whole family, promoting and coaching the sport locally.
We’re proud to say that the McElhone family has been serving the community for over three decades. In 2023, we opened Molly O’s in San Carlos, with Ollie Óg at the helm—bringing the same heart, heritage, and hospitality to a new home. Whether you're at Fiddlers or Molly O’s, you're part of our extended family.
At Fiddlers Green, we’re known for pouring the best pint of Guinness in the Bay Area—recognized with the Perfect Pint Award in April 2021. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are always happy to help, whether you’re choosing from our selection of premier Irish whiskeys, looking for the perfect cocktail or ale, or just in the mood for good conversation and a warm welcome.
Sports are central to life at Fiddlers. From early morning Gaelic Football matches live from Ireland, to American sports and international soccer, there’s always something to cheer for. We’re also proud to be the home of the San Francisco Celtic Supporters Club, making Fiddlers Green the go-to spot for fans of the Bhoys.
No matter where you're from, we hope you feel like you’ve come home the moment you walk through our doors. Thank you for supporting our family and helping us keep the Irish spirit alive and thriving in the Bay.
And as the song goes… “I’ll see you someday in Fiddler’s Green.”
